Colour mood

Four interesting web-projects : Cymbolism from Suffolk Software at cymbolism.com, which aims to quantify the association between colours and words with the help of the visitors. As a feedback participating public can see statistics with colours attached to specific word.

Another project is We Feel Fine by Kamvar and Harris at : www.wefeelfine.org . It is a database of human feelings collected over three years from personal blogs on Internet. With the interactive application’s help I was able to get valuable statistics on most expressed feelings according to gender, geography and time. The project is very well documented in the book form: We Feel Fine: An Almanac of Human Emotion,, which I highly recommend.

I also find interesting tool from cssprism.com, which aloud to view and modify the color spectrum from any website or CSS file. Another useful application is: Adobes Kuler: and by them recommend links to color theory.

Web Typography

I found two interesting articles on sitepoint blogs, both referring to Typekit, a different way to use real fonts on the web: Web Fonts Get Real with Typekit and Web Typography Bar Raised As New Foundries Join Typekit. A guide to Web typography from ilovetypography.com may be a good place to start.

Aviary, on line tool set

Aviary är en växande internet baserad verktygslåda . För närvarande innehåller verktyg för bild behandling. Det finns två möjligheter; gratis användning med visa begränsningar eller prenumeration som inkluderar plats på en server. Flera nya verktyg är på gång vilket gör konceptet mycket intressant.

Färger är en av de viktigaste delar i grafisk design. Det enklaste sättet att se hur de fungerar ihop är att leka med de. Prova leka med dessa två applikationer här.



Ibland är det svårt att hitta ett rätt färgharmoni, man kan alltid låta sig inspireras. Med "pic2color" är det lätta att analysera och få hexadecimal värde från olika källor. Applikationen direkt länkar till Genopal som hjälper att granska från olika aspekter med tanken på färgharmoni.
